During the course of Friday afternoon and early evening, the Horse headed north, below big lock shortly followed by Gifford being towed by Thea to film some horse boating below the lock. Shad was also in attendance and as the boat was dropping down the lock I spoke to Mike Turpin and Ray Butler. I joined them on Shad which I took to the winding hole, and then back through Big Lock and on to the moorings in Town Wharf where we moored alongside Gifford. Gifford had been dropped off earlier at Big Lock by Shad and was then taken onto the moorings by Spey. As this was an historic event this was filmed by various people, including, I beleive, BBC's Country File.
