Dunham Trip
Just after dinner, myself, my parents and some friends on their boats, set off south towards Dunham where we had arranged to spend the evening. We arrived after winding, and moored up whilst a full blown 'fox' hunt was taking place in the fields beyond. Later on a good night was spent in The Vine pub
As I returned back to the moorings, I stopped breifly beside WF No 1 which had been helping out in the recent bank repair works. At the end of last year, several coping stones had fallen into the water after years of mooring pins being levered by ropes behind them. The new bank has been formed of steel piling, capped by concrete.
