River Weaver Weekend

I finished work on Friday at the usual time of 3PM and cycled straight over to the moorings at Sale where I arrived at 3.30PM. After carrying out the usual checks I set off at 3.45PM and tied up at Dutton next to my Uncle on the Large Northwich Stirling for 9.30PM and had a catch up.

On Saturday morning I set off at 5AM and arrived at Anderton services for 7.30PM, I then winded and tied up on the holding moorings ready for my 9.30AM passage onto the River Weaver. I met up with Ian off Pavo the converted and motorised Little Woolwich Butty for a chat who was moored in Anderton and was given a proper boat hook as a late Birthday present which will replace my current one. I then headed over to Northwich to first pick up Kerry, and then finally Joe and Sarah. After loading Ariel up with the BBQ shopping we headed back over to the Picnic site at the bottom of The Lift for the afternoon.

Later in the day, we had another quick run out through Northwich, past Yarwoods and winded at the bottom of Hunt's lock, before dropping Joe and Sarah off in Northwich. Myself and Kerry then headed over to Yarwoods Basin where we tied, spending an enjoyable and relaxing evening in the sun.

On Sunday the Young's along with Will bought Rudd down the River and into the Basin ready for the do next weekend.
