I jumped on the train on Saturday morning to head over to Stoke on Trent for the Etruria Canal Festival. After meeting up with Kerry we headed over to the Museum where we found Joe on Ibex. After being treated to breakfast, and having a chat and a brew with Joe and others, we had a walk around to see what was going on.
Joe unsucessfully tried to arrange a tug of war between Ibex and any other willing participants but unfortunately nobody was up for it so in the end Joe challenged the crew of Towy! They stood on the bank, whilst Joe took Ibex into the channel. Unfortunately the crew of Towy were able to get a better purchase and by the time the HR2 in Ibex had managed to get going the boat was already being pulled backwards.
I left at some point mid evening, heading over to Northwich on the Train to Ariel as I had planned to do some jobs on the Sunday ready for the Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival in a couple of weeks.
